“Now after that John was put in prison, Jesus came into Galilee, preaching the gospel of the kingdom of God, And saying, The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe the gospel.” – Mark 1:14-15 (KJV)
Good Morning CLMNWA Family, I was going to do these messages as a video series, but just like everything else I’ve asked y’all to help me make successful I have had minimal support. So, I’ve decided to do away with the videos, and get back to doing these the way I do them best. I’ve also decided not to ask y’all for anything else because it’s obvious your support is only limited to how valuable this ministry is to you. I’ve been able to acquire a secular job doing lawn care, and that will enable me to at least take some of the ministry expenses off of my wife’s income and take care of it myself. That way I don’t have to ask y’all to support or sow into the ministry because I don’t get any support from you financially. I’ve asked and my requests have either fallen upon deaf ears or they’ve fallen upon hearts that refuse to do what the Lord is leading you to do. I’ve had some of you tell me that you know God’s leading you to sow into the ministry, and have yet to see an envelope with your name on it. So, that tells me that you’re willfully disobeying God…which is between you and Him.
Anyways, as I mentioned I did the first 3 messages in this series as videos, but I’m not going to continue doing that with the lack of viewership I’m getting on YouTube. I don’t get many viewers to this blog either, but that’s okay. You see, this is my way of serving God so no matter how many people view these messages I’m going to continue writing them because I’m not going to willfully disobey God’s will for me. I’ve approached this as my needing to obey God and trust Him with the results, and I know that He honors what I’m doing for Him. I know He blesses it, and considers this my vocation and the way He’s called me to fulfill the Great Commission. So, I’m not going to do anymore videos, but I am going to continue preaching the Word of God through Pastor B’s Blog and Christlike Ministries NWA Blog.
So, let’s get into this message simply titled “The Good News”, and see what the Lord has to say to us today, Amen!?!
The Good News
How many of you know that the Bible in it’s entirety is The Good News!?! I know that some of the Bible is always under attack, I also know that some feel that the Bible is no longer relevant in today’s world, but this pastor still believes that the Word of God is just as valid today as it was when the Holy Spirit was inspiring those who wrote the Word of God back when they were still on scrolls waiting to be translated. The Gospel of Jesus Christ is also known as the Good News, and it’s know as that because the fact that we can be reconciled to God through the Cross of Jesus Christ is the greatest news this world has ever been given. The Good News is that we can be healed, set free, delivered, and saved for all of eternity through Christ’s death, burial, and resurrection. The Good News is that we can be assured that no matter how good or bad things get here in this life there are amazing things prepared for those of us who have placed our faith and trust in Jesus Christ. The Good News is whether one person reads these messages or one thousand or if I only have an audience of One…God honors what I do because I do it out of a heart of obedience towards HIM.
What is the good news? The good news is that Jesus has come into the world to save us and allow us to enter into the Kingdom of God through a real relationship with Jesus! Sin separates us from God, and because the debt of our sin is so great we cannot get back to God through our own sacrifices and merit.
You see. We couldn’t do what Jesus did through the Cross on our own. Many like to think they can. Many like to think they’re holy enough because they do their best to abide by the commandments or do good works or they think they’re a good enough person, but the truth is what Jesus spoke. There’s only ONE way to be assured of eternal security, and that ONE way is by become a whosoever that’s called upon the name of the Lord to be saved.
See, I’m not going to Heaven because I write these messages. I’m not going to Heaven because I listen to more Christian music or watch less television or have cleaned up my life. I’m not going to Heaven because I attend a Pentecostal church or am a Baptist or follow the Assembly of God’s rules and guidelines. When the day comes that I stand before God to answer for why I should be allowed into Heaven there’s only ONE acceptable answer, and that answer is that one day I made Jesus Christ my Lord and Savior and the only reason I’m qualified to be in Heaven is because I’m in Christ. That’s it. It has nothing to do with your church affiliation, it has nothing to do with whether you’re water baptized, and it has nothing to do with whether you keep a list of do’s and don’ts…because it has nothing to do with our abilities or merits…it’s literally all about the Cross…it’s about Jesus and Him crucified…and that alone is the reason I’m on my way to Heaven.
I’ll close by giving y’all the essence of the Good News right here…
Therefore, God sent His only Son, Jesus, to come down from Heaven and pay our debt for us on the cross. Therefore, to enter into God’s Kingdom, thanks to Jesus, all we have to do is repent of our sin and believe in the purpose and person of Jesus Christ our Lord.
The best way to close a message like this is to give those of you who have never made Jesus Christ the Lord of your life…and if you have it’s always a good idea to pray this once in a while not to get born again again, but just to reaffirm your commitment to Christ. So, whether you need to be saved or you’ve been saved for 20 years let’s just take a moment to go before the Lord and become whosoever’s that have called upon the name of the Lord to be saved.
I know it’s been quite a while since I posted a message, and part of the reason now is because I had to get a job. So, I’m no longer able to focus solely upon the ministry. As always I will write as the Lord leads, but I’m not going to be able to write as much or as often as I have in the past. This is what happens when people refuse to support their pastors and the work they’re trying to do through their ministries. This is the reason why it’s necessary to sow into ministries, and why so many ministries fail…lack of financial support. So, there isn’t much I can do other than walk through the door God opened for me because of the lack of financial support. It’s not just support needed to keep the ministry online, but it’s also needed to help me support my family.
Thankfully God answered my prayer to open a much needed door for me to find a job, and I’m just sorry that I won’t be able to focus on the ministry as much. So, I hope you enjoy this message, and join me for the next one. For now, it’s time to close this out, proofread it, and get it posted!
Have a blessed day in the Lord!
Blessings & Grace ~ Pastor B
